Members of the Edon FFA Chapter competed in State Career Development Events at the Ohio Expo Center on Saturday, April 2, 2016. The eleven students participated in the poultry and wildlife judging events.

In the poultry contest, students learn about the production, processing, management and marketing of poultry products. Members of the high school team were Paige Schaffter, Olivia Radabaugh and Aidan Muehlfeld; the team placed 22nd overall. The middle school team, consisting of Claire Radabaugh, Tatum Schaffter, Clayton Fitch and Shane Zulch, placed 2nd at the contest.

The wildlife contest promotes interest in the areas of fish, wildlife, and natural resources management. Through this event, students identify species of fish, vegetative plants and wild animals native to Ohio. The team placed 48th at the contest and members were Lucas Joice, Dylan Mason, Austin Kiess, and Kase Hug.
