(September 18th, 2014): The Pettisville Seventh Grade Volleyball team was handed its first conference loss by the Lady Bombers of Edon on Thursday. The Eighth Grade Blackbirds were able to avenge the loss, however, defeating Edon in straight sets.
In the Seventh Grade match, the Blackbirds and Bombers played three tight sets. Game 1 saw the Lady Blackbirds win 25-19. Edon came back strong in game 2, taking the set 25-23. Riding that momentum, Edon was able to triumph in the third game 25-16.
The Eighth Grade game was decidedly more one-sided. The girls from Pettisville took game 1 25-11 and never looked back. The second set was all Pettisville as well, as they defeated Edon 25-9.
