Eric Stewart Etoll, age 59, of Bryan, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at McLaren St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, Ohio.
Eric had been a chef, having worked at Shaffer’s in Bryan and also Applebee’s in Defiance. He had also worked for Powers and Sons in Montpelier.
Eric was born in Bryan, Ohio on February 23, 1963, the son of Cornell James and Ruth Evelyn (Collins) Etoll.
He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Montpelier and was an avid OSU Buckeye’s fan..
Surviving Eric are his children, Eric Farris and fiance, Heather, Nicole Evelyn Marie Farris and Theresa Ratn; grandchildren, Christopher Farris, Tyler Farris, Austin Farris, Logan Clark, Leeam McElroy and Makayla McElroy. He is also survived by siblings, Mary Jo O’Brien, Linda Ruth Etoll, Patricia (John) Schmidt, Ernest (Marilyn) Etoll, Ellen (Rich) Bailey, Christine (Randall) Warner, Alice Hall & Leon Red Froelich, Tracy Etoll & fiance Mike Hancock, Scott Etoll, Julia Etoll and Brian Etoll.
He was preceded in death by both parents; brother Cornell James Etoll; brothers-in-law Kenneth O’Brien and Bruce Stonestreet; great nephew, Mathew John Quimby; nephew, Raschade Cornell Etoll, and nephew, Patrick Warner.
Visitation for Eric will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Friday, November 11, 2022 in the Grisier Funeral Home, 109 S. Defiance St., Stryker, Ohio. A funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Joe Alvarez, officiating.
