Esther Rosendaul (1932 – 2024)

Esther A. Rosendaul, 92 of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, Bryan.

Esther was born February 9, 1932, in Paulding County, Ohio, the daughter of the late John A. and Nettie (Enerle) Hook.

She was a 1949 graduate of Bryan High School. She married George T. Rosendaul on February 15, 1951, at Travis Air Force Base in California, and he preceded her in death on February 21, 2008.

Esther was a dedicated and faithful employee of the 50 Corporation where she worked for 38 years. She was a member of Bryan First Church of Christ, Eastern Star, Bryan Moose Lodge 1064, and the 49ers Lunch Club. Esther was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.


Surviving is her daughter, Lori Alcide of Tempe, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Cindy Rosendaul of Tempe, Arizona; granddaughter, Heather Rosendaul of Phoenix, Arizona; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Rosendaul of Phoenix, Arizona; brother-in-law, Frank Holmes; good family friend, Ken (Sue) Crouch of Bryan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, son, Michael Rosendaul, one brother, Jerry Hook and four sisters, Mary Mudrack, Violet Welsh, Vicky Holmes, and Gloria Wright.

Visitation for Esther A. Rosendaul will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Order of Eastern Star #248 will begin Eastern Star Services beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home, followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Snavley officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan.


In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to Bryan First Church of Christ, 129 North Walnut Street, Bryan, Ohio, 43506.
