Claudia Cromley, a 2019 graduate of Evergreen High School, performed the National Anthem at the start of the Patriots vs Browns NFL game on Sunday, October 16th.

Cromley was invited to audition for the part after a Browns representative was shown a video of one of her previous musical performances.

She has previously had a part in the “She Loves Me Musical” at the Cleveland State University where she is currently studying theater and dance.

Cromley will also be taking part in another musical, Sweeny Todd, where she will be playing the role of Mrs. Lovett.

The show will take place during the second week of November at CSU.

Before singing she was taken to do sound checks and warm-ups.

She then went out onto the field to get ready to sing and was able to view the players as they completed their warm-ups.

Singing in a Browns jersey on the field with a large American Flag and a military flyover that came at the ending, the performance completed by Cromley saw everyone in the stands give a shout out.

For her, the experience was truly one of a kind. “It was great. I have never really sung in front of a crowd that large before.”

“I have sung at other events like at the Fulton County Fair but, being at an NFL game is a huge shift for me.”

“It is of a whole other caliber and was a huge honor,” said Cromley.
