Everyone Is Invited To Attend Unusual Wedding At Library

October 4, 2012Updated:November 30, 2016No Comments2 Mins Read

A very unusual wedding is going to be taking place in Bryan in the month of October, and you are invited to attend!  The Williams County Public Library (with branches in Bryan, Edgerton, Edon, Pioneer, Stryker, and West Unity) requests the honor of your presence at the marriage of their mascot, Larry the Library Lion, to Lily the Lioness on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 3:00 in the afternoon at the Bryan Library at 107 E. High Street, Bryan, OH  43506.  The “ceremony” officiated by Bryan Mayor Doug Johnson will be held outside on the Carnegie steps.  In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held inside the library on the second floor under the Carnegie Dome.  A reception will follow immediately after the ceremony with the festivities drawing to a close at 5:00 pm.

Boys and girls between the ages of five and ten have been chosen from each of the six WCPL locations to serve as bridesmaids and groomsmen for the wedding.  Some special guests have been invited, and there are guaranteed to be some other surprises along the way, so be sure and mark the date on your calendar.  You won’t want to miss it!

If you don’t already follow the library’s Facebook page, go to www.facebook.com/mywcpl and click “Like,” so that you won’t miss any of the details of and photos from this event.  Questions about this very unusual wedding can be directed to Jeff Yahraus, Library Director, at 419-636-6734.
