Final preparations are nearly complete as Fayette Schools get ready to host a Chili Cook-off this weekend.

The event is scheduled for 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at the school cafeteria. The event is a fundraiser for the Euro Travel Group (Class of 2017).

The event will be family-friendly and have a fall festival atmosphere. Several vendors from the community are taking part and more are being sought. For more information, contact Mrs. Hintz at the school.

School enrollment is up two to 429.

The Board of Education approved prices for winter sports passes.

An adult pass will cost $80; senior citizens and students will be $40. A family pass (two adults and two students) will be $200. Additional students will cost $20 apiece.

A Winter Sports ID is free, but must be used for seniors to get the student price.
