FAYETTE VILLAGE COUNCIL: Legislative Actions For The Village Resolved

FOLLOWING EXECUTIVE SESSION … Fayette council resolved several legislative actions for the village. (PHOTO BY TRISHELLE SMITH, STAFF)

On April 27, 2022 the Village of Fayette met to discuss local matters. The meeting started with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Two council members were missing from the meeting, Rodney Kessler and Kim Estep.

Council approved the Agenda for the evening and the minutes of the previous meeting from April 13, 2022 and April 20, 2022.

Council was met by visitors from the Fayette CDC. The small organization came to introduce themselves to council and let them know that they wanted to help restore Fayette.

Mayor David Borer, reported that Spring Cleanup will be June 18,2022. Garage Sales for Fayette are May 26-28, 2022. On May 14, Fulton County Job and Family Services have a family fun day planned at the Fulton County Fairgrounds.

No Resolutions and Ordinances were discussed.

Council resolved the following legislative actions: Council approved the motion to pay Genna Biddix fifteen hours of comp time.

Council approved the motion to increase the wage of Trey Keefer from $12.16 to $15.00 effective immediately.

Council approved the motion to allow Chief Simon to accrue comp time for working the prom.

Lastly, council approved the motion to participate in R.I.T.A delinquent account/ subpoena program and to authorize the deduction from the monthly distribution check for the cost of the subpoena program.

Council had no new or old business to report before adjourning.
