Frank Perkins, Sr. (1938 – 2024)

(Formerly Involved With Kunkle Fire Department)

Frank Eugene Perkins Sr., 86, of Kunkle, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Hillside Country Living in Bryan.

He was born on July 12, 1938 in Bryan to Harold F. and Helen L. (Schelling) Perkins.

Frank graduated from Bryan High School in 1956 and then graduated from Fort Wayne Business School with a degree in accounting.


After graduation he honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1961-1963. On April 24, 1960 Frank married Beverly Jane Nisley at Kunkle Presbyterian Church and she survives.

Frank worked as a supervising engineer at Allied Moulded Products in Bryan for 30 years. He was a member of West Unity Presbyterian Church and formerly Kunkle Presbyterian Church where he served as the finance secretary for both churches.

Frank was formerly involved with the Kunkle Fire Department, Unity Antique Power Club, Fountain City Square Dance and a Boy Scout troop leader.


He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Perkins; two sons, Frank (Brenda) Perkins, Jr. of Ekron, KY and Brett (Jackie) Perkins of Maumee; seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sister, Carrie “Susie” Baum of Toledo; brother, Danny Perkins of Laurel Maryland; and sister-in-law, Barb Perkins of Joliet, Illinois.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Louis Perkins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 3-7 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11 am at West Unity Presbyterian Church, 201 East North Street, West Unity with Pastor Nancy Berkheiser. Frank will be laid to rest at Kunkle Cemetery with military honors provided by the Pioneer Veterans.

Memorials may be made to West Unity Presbyterian Church or the Unity Antique Power Club. Condolences can be left online for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
