The Fulton County Board of Commissioners tackled a full slate of business during its Tuesday morning session, approving key financial measures, personnel updates, and inter-agency agreements.

The board opened the meeting at 9 a.m. with routine approvals, including the minutes from the May 29 session, the day’s agenda, and payment of county bills.

Among the highlights of the session was approval of a memorandum of agreement between the Fulton County Common Pleas Court and the Four County ADAMhs Board.

The deal provides $35,000 in funding to support the court’s certified specialty drug docket. Funds will help coordinate treatment services, host team meetings, and maintain compliance with the Ohio Supreme Court’s requirements for specialty courts.

Commissioners reviewed department-by-department proceeds from the recent county surplus auction. Net revenue distributions included:

-$10,559.06 to the Sheriff’s Office

-$5,484.93 to the Board of Developmental Disabilities

-$3,107.48 to the Senior Center

-$2,622.90 to EMS

-$634.47 to the Health Department

-Smaller amounts to Public Utilities, JFS, the Prosecutor, and Recorder

These funds were added through appropriation increases for capital equipment across the various departments.

In a move to enhance investigative capabilities, the board authorized a contract with the Ohio Child Support Professionals Association, in partnership with West Publishing Corporation.

The contract grants the Department of Job and Family Services access to CLEAR, a data tool used for locating non-custodial parents. Fulton County will pay $35.95 per user per month in the first year, with slight increases in the second.

Commissioners accepted a recommendation from Loss Control Coordinator Dawn Hogrefe to approve a workers’ compensation claim filed by JFS employee Kristina Bryant.

Bryant was injured on May 20 when a porch collapsed beneath her while exiting a client’s residence. The claim was classified as medical-only with no lost time.

With the resignation of Henna Law effective at the end of May, the Senior Center is seeking a full-time kitchen aide.

The job includes meal preparation, cleaning, and home-delivered meal assistance, with hours set from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. Applications will be accepted through June 20.

Other Business
-A resolution approved several appropriations, including over $10,000 for senior center equipment and nearly $5,500 for DD board needs.

-Commissioners authorized advertising the open kitchen aide position.

-Purchase orders and travel requests were approved, including one for a representative to attend the OCCA Summer Conference in Cincinnati.

-County offices will be closed June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.

With nothing further, the commissioners adjourned the meeting.
