VARSITY BASEBALL

Fairview 9, Montpelier 0

The Locomotives held the Apaches to three hits, but committed seven errors allowing them to pull away with the shutout victory. Dalton Surbey was Montpelier’s starting pitcher. Surbey pitched two innings giving up two hits while facing 14 Apache batters. Montpelier was led by Kolden Uribes’ double, and singles by Caleb Haines and Surbey.

Ayersville 4, Hilltop 3

The Pilots crossed the plate four times in the first inning then held off the Cadets the rest of the way to sneak away with a one run win.  Hilltop collected hits from Tyler Suboski, Quinn Smith, Cole Haynes and Nic Schieber all for with singles. Although Schieber’s hit produced two RBI for the Cadets. Hilltop had five baserunners stranded. Schieber was the lone pitcher for Hilltop. In a solid performance, he gave up five hits with three strike outs.

Wauseon 10, Rossford 0


The Indians, after leading 2-0 after three innings, erupted for six fourth inning runs to roll to the non-league shut out win. Carter Bzovi had the hot bat as the junior hit for double and triple and accumulated three RBI in the win.  Brady Kinnersley matched Bzovi’s RBI total with three of his own while going two for two at the plate. Josh Whitcomb added two RBI and Brady Rupp one. Rupp was the winning pitcher he allowed just two Rossford hits while fanning eight.

VARSITY SOFTBALL

Edgerton 4, Hilltop 2

A total of 27 hits filled the air during this game.  Starting with the Lady Bulldogs, Shayla Sleesman, Hannah Sleesman, Cloey Whitman and Bella Cercone had two hits apiece. Hannah Sleesman, Cloey Whitman and Autumn Rowe’s hits produced three RBI. Shayla Sleesman pitched the complete game for the Lady Bulldogs giving up 2 runs on 17 hits and striking out one. Hilltop got three hits apiece from Aubrey Wyse, Bailey Funkhouser and Allie Schmitt. Two RBI were contributed by Karissa Crisenbery and Danny Ackley. Wyse, Funkhouser and Ariana Brown belted doubles. Funkhouser was the complete game pitcher. She allowed four runs on 10 hits with five strike outs.

JUNIOR VARSITY SOFTBALL


Wauseon 20, Oak Harbor 2

Ana Lozano led Wasueon finishing 4 for 5 including three singles and triple in the lopsided win. Jaelyn Myers and Katie Couts added singles for the Indians. Lozano was the winning pitcher allowing four hits and collecting nine strikeouts in the five inning victory.
