George BailGeorge C. Bail, 61 years, of West Unity, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at his residence with his family at his side. George was born October 15, 1953 in Hudson, Michigan, the son of Robert Franklin and Gloria Ilo (Kelly) Bail. He was a graduate of Hilltop High School. He married Mary Elizabeth (Grizzle) on December 22, 1976 in Adrian, Michigan, and she survives. George served in the United States Marine Corps from 1972 – 1976, during the Vietnam Era. George previously worked at CTI. He was a member of the West Unity American Legion Post 669, Legion Riders of West Unity. In his younger years, while raising his family, George was involved in the Williams County Bow Hunters Club, West Unity Sportsman Club and was a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts as well as a Hunter Safety Education Teacher.

George is survived by his loving spouse, Mary of West Unity; six children, Andrew (Joann) Bail of Oakwood, Ohio, Mike Bail of Pioneer, Ohio, Joe Bail of West Unity, Ohio, George (Stephanie) Bail of Montpelier, Ohio; Univa (Shane) Perry of Portsmouth, Ohio and Tabby (Will Schmidt) Murray of Morenci, Michigan; 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; his parents, Robert Bail and Gloria (Kelly) Bail of Hudson, Michigan and one sister, Betty Coles of Hudson, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gabriel Wayne Bail; one brother, Mike Bail and his grandparents, George and Chana Bail, Clarence Kelly and Velva McClain and Ilo Jones.

Visitation for George C. Bail will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 North Liberty Street, West Unity. Funeral services for George C. Bail will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 with Robert Crisenbery officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Grove Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by West Unity American Legion Post 669. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
