Geraldine M. Mead, age 77, of Eau Claire, Michigan passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan following a lengthy illness.
Geri worked for QUADCO Rehabilitation Center as well as the related Northwest products as a trainer. She retired in 1990 due to disability.
After moving to the Eau Claire, Michigan area in 2000, Geri joined the Lifegate Baptist Church and made several good friends there.
She enjoyed reading, cooking and collecting Christmas decorations.
Geri was born on August 1, 1945, the third of four children and daughter of John and Leonella Felicity (Gaspari) Feeney.
She was raised in Sharon, Pennsylvania. Her father died when she was only 4 years old. She graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in education. She married Michael Mead in 1977 in Edon, Ohio and he survives.
Geri is also survived by her sister, Mary (Brad) Deel, of Bryan, Ohio and brother, John (Trisha) Feeney, of Columbia, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Seth Allen Mead and a sister, Charlene Taylor.
Visitation for Geri will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 11:00AM-1:00PM at Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon, Ohio. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Doug Widdowson officiating. Burial will follow at Edon Cemetery.
