The Indians opened their season in grand fashion with the two goal advantage over the Bulldogs. Wauseon scored three times in the first period. The first was at the 39:18 when Amanda Hammontree found the net from the left corner. Jadelin Vasvery fouled suite in at the 14:49 with a goal from the right corner to build the lead to 2-0. With five minutes remaining in the period Torri Bost used that same corner to notch her first goal of the season as the Indians led 3-0 at the break. Vasvery and Hammontree added goals in the second half to seal the win.
