GMC FOOTBALL: Baker’s Six Touchdown Tosses Leads Edgerton Past Antwerp, 47-14

Edgerton 47, Antwerp 14

ANTWERP – Edgerton quarterback Maddox Baker connected on six touchdown passes leading the Bulldogs to a convincing 47-14 victory over Antwerp in the Green Meadows Conference opener for both teams on Friday, September 12.

Baker completed 14 of 19 passes for 243 yards and added 92 yards on the ground on 17 carries.


Parker Elden hauled in three of Baker’s scoring passes for the Bulldogs. Mason Elden, Karter Gibson and Kellen Sanchez each had a receiving touchdown.

Sanchez hauled in five passes for 81 yards; Parker Elden had three catches for 75 yards and Gibson had four catches for 54 yards. Wyatt Slabaugh scored the Bulldogs’ other touchdown on the ground.

Jackson Flower recorded eight tackles leading the Edgerton defense while Baker and Tucker Curl both had six tackles apiece. Edgerton outgained Antwerp, 414-284, in total offense.


Both teams return to conference action on Friday as Edgerton (4-0, 1-0 GMC) hosts Wayne Trace while Antwerp (1-3, 0-1 GMC) visits Hicksville. (No scoring summary provided)
