Hazel Elaine Diehl, 71, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center.
Born on July 27, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Elaine (Wanders) Sheets. On Dec. 27, 1973, she married Charles Diehl in Rockingham County, Virginia.
Hazel was a registered nurse. She worked at Montpelier hospital, Bryan hospital, and the local doctor’s office until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, gardening, crafting, helping others and spending time with her granddaughters, whom she adored.
Hazel is survived by her husband, Charles Diehl, of Kenosha, Wisconsin; two children, Meredith Diehl and Megan (Justin) Parietti; two grandchildren, Olivia and Adalyn Parietti; two siblings, Wanda Vollmer and Gary Sheets; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Roy, Michael and Vernon Sheets.
Private services were held per Hazel’s wishes.
