Herbert Lammon, Jr (1936 – 2016)

Herbert “Junior” Lammon, Jr., age 80, of Wauseon, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday morning, December 9, 2016. He was born in Ottokee, Ohio on May 26, 1936 to the late Herbert and Treva (Lawrence) Lammon, Sr.

Junior attended Chesterfield-Dover schools. He worked along side his parents at Lammon’s Junk Yard, Gas Station and General Store and was the owner and operator of J.R. Distributors for many years. He was a member of the Delta Eagles, Wauseon American Legion and VFW Post #7424, and the Farm Bureau.

Junior enjoyed fishing and sitting out by his pond, collecting old cars, being especially fond of his 1978 Corvette pace car and coins, playing poker and other card games, watching Nascar and baseball, and working in his yard.

He is survived by his four children, Connie Blumenfeld, of California, Robin Taft, of Harrison Lake, Penny (Joe) Shiple, of Ney and Rebecca “Becky” (Don) Wright, of Delta; eight grandchildren, Adam (Jessenia) Taft, Lindsay Lammon, Leslie (Dustin) Gamble, Tony Snape, Danielle Blumenfeld, Dustin (Lacy) Blumenfeld, Maverick Wright and Brooklyn Wright and five great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Danny Lammon.

To honor Junior’s wishes there will be no services held at this time. Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
