DELTA – January 22 was a tale of two rallies. The Delta Lady Panthers’ worked…the Hilltop Lady Cadets’ didn’t.
Hilltop opened the game with a 19-14 run, but over the next two periods, the Lady Panthers ran off a 25-15 rally to retake the lead. Trailing 39-34 going into the fourth, the Lady Cadets mounted a 15-11 rally that came up a point short at the final buzzer, 50-49.
The loss foiled the huge game of Sam Lillemon, who rang up 17 poins and grabbed 6 boards. Hannah Bleikamp put in 11 points, while Jackie Smith and Cierra Carpenter each had 7 points, Emily Armbruster had 5 points and 6 dimes, and LeAnn Joost had 2 points.
