Ila L. Nisley

Ila L. Nisley, 92, of Pioneer passed away Sunday morning at Hillside Country Living in rural Bryan.  She was born on September 30, 1923 in Madison Township, Williams County Ohio to Ross I. and Vera M. (McLaughlin) Orewiler.  Ila graduated from Pioneer High School in 1941.  On April 24, 1955 she married Jac L. Nisley in Pioneer and he preceded her in death.

Ila was a member of the Pioneer United Methodist Church.  She was a sales clerk at the former Hadley’s Department Store for 28 years, she started in Pioneer in 1941.

She is survived by one step son-in-law, Tom Chateau of Durham, North Carolina, sister-in-law Beverly (Frank) Perkins of Kunkle, Ohio, 6 step grandchildren, 11 step great grandchildren, 4 step great great grandchildren 5 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Ila was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jac, sister Virginia Wright, brother Ralph Orewiler, and step daughter Linda Chateau.

Visitation for Ila will be on Wednesday from 2-6pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer.  Services will be on Thursday at 11am at the funeral home with Max Munk to officiate.  Interment will follow at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer.  Memorial contributions may be made to Pioneer United Methodist Church.  Online condolences can be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
