Isadore C. O’Neill, age 85, of Delta, passed away at Fulton Manor in Wauseon early Thursday morning, September 29, 2016. He was born in Assumption, OH on January 25, 1931 to the late Lawrence O’Neill and Florence (Pence) O’Neill. He was united in marriage to Merlin Graber on October 7, 1950.
Isadore worked at the Pet Milk Company in Delta from 1951 until their closing in 1960. Later was employed as a longshoreman for Ohio Grain Trimmers Local #153; where he served 35 years until retiring in 1993. Isadore was a member of Swan Creek Community Church in Delta. He loved gardening and raising cattle. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Isadore was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond O’Neill and sister, Lavonne Buyer. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Merlin; children, Dennis O’Neill of California, Patricia Ortiz of Illinois, Kathleen (Wesley) Moll of Wauseon and Daniel (Gina) O’Neill Sr. of Delta; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and his canine companion shiatzus, Misti and Lindi.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM – 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 atBarnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta; where a memorial service celebrating Isadore’s life will begin at 11:00 AM. Pastor Scott Rashley will be officiating. Interment will be private for the family at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.
