Jack W. DeLaney age 71 years, of Archbold passed away Monday morning November 25, 2024 at Genacross Lutheran Services in Napoleon.
He was born on May 6, 1953 in Toledo the son of Jack and Luelva (Jones) DeLaney. He was a graduate of Springfield High School and then enlisted into the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Jack loved travelling the country as an OTR truck driver for over 30 years. After retiring in 2016, he began a new hobby and transformed into Amazon Prime.
Jack was most passionate about being a Christian. He gave his life to the Lord and was baptized according to the gospel’s Acts 2:38. He loved going to church as a member of Truth Tabernacle of Defiance, Ohio.
Jack is survived by his five children, William DeLaney of Toledo, Jack (Dawn) DeLaney III of Kathleen, Georgia, Stephen (Jodi) DeLaney of Archbold, Jason DeLaney of Defiance, Melissa DeLaney of Archbold, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, six siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Michael DeLaney.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 30, at 10 AM at Short Funeral Home in Archbold. Interment will follow in the Archbold Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
