Jack Walker (1937-2019)

Jack Gale Walker, age 81, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019, with his loving wife by his side at Genesis Healthcare- Bryan Center.

Jack was the owner of Walker’s Radio and TV in Bryan. He was baptized and confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in Bryan and was a member of the Bryan First Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren, family and beloved dog, Shiloh.

Jack Gale Walker was born May 29, 1937 in Bryan, the son of Gale Cleo and Ilo LaRue (Buda) Walker. Jack married Carol Lew Bryant on August 25, 1962 in Dunfee, Indiana and she survives. 

Jack is also survived by his children, Beth (Jeff) VonSeggern and Christopher Walker, both of Bryan; grandchildren, Torie, Joshua and Kayla VonSeggern; sister, Mary Lue Phillips, of Huntsville, Alabama; brother, Tom Walker, of Fort Wayne and sister-in-law, Sheila Walker, of Brandon, South Dakota and eight nieces and nephews, Debbie Phillips, of West Tisbury, Massachusetts, Scott (Dianne) Phillips, of Harvest, Alabama, Lori Gagnon, of Longwood, Florida, Susan (Joe) Henson, of Huntsville, Alabama, Pam (Ray) Byram, of Brandon, South Dakota, Penni (Doug) Flinn and Kristine (Bob) Reger, both of Louisville, Kentucky and Kary Walker, of New Haven, Indiana and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, Dick Phillips and a nephew and his wife, Steve (Gabby) Phillips, nephews-in-law, Morris Ausley, Tom Gagnon and Rob Berkley and his beloved dog, Libby.


Visitation celebrating the life of Jack G. Walker will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 1:00-4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Dean Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Farmer Cemetery, Farmer, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to give a donation in memory of Jack are encouraged to consider the Williams County Humane Society or an organization of the donor’s choice.
