Jane Marie Partee, age 89, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 8:04 A.M. on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Evergreen Healthcare Center in Montpelier.

Jane was a telephone operator, secretary and office manager at Spangler Candy Company, Holabird, Aro and retired from Trufast in 1999.

She was a member of First Brethren Church where she sang in the choir. Jane enjoyed listening to country music, bowling, coloring and tending to her house plants.


Jane was born on April 7, 1935, in Kimmell, Indiana, the daughter of Wess and Orpha (Kalb) Hartsock. She graduated from Avilla High School in 1954. She married Donald Partee on November 10, 1991 and he preceded her in death on October 13, 2008.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Kila (Cliff) Wineland, of Bryan; son, Jeffrey (Christy) Ways, of Toledo; step daughter, Carol (Bob) Vasko, of Bryan; 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; brothers, Robert (Laura) Hartsock, of Montpelier, Roger (Diana) Hartsock, of Edon and Rodney (Sandy) Hartsock, of Montpelier and sister, Janice Mollett, of Montpelier.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; stepson, Bob Partee; sister, Joan Vitik and brother-in-law, Larry Mollett.


Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 11:00 am-1:00 pm in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. A celebration of Jane’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Luke Nagy officiating. She will be laid to rest at Shiffler Cemetery.
