Jerry L. Windisch (1941 – 2015)

Jerry Lee Windisch WEBJerry Lee Windisch, age 73, of Wauseon passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Mr. Windisch was born in Wauseon on November 6, 1941 the son of the late Clifford and the late Orpha (Mock) Windisch. On September 14, 1968 he married Donna (Maust) Windisch and she survives.

Prior to his retirement he worked in the construction industry, specializing in road construction and cement finishing. He was a member of the Laborers Local #500 and the Cement Masons #886. He attended Crossroads Evangelical Church, was a member of the Fulton County Sportsmen’s Club, enjoyed traveling, golfing and ‘shooting the breeze’ while drinking coffee with friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.

Surviving along with his wife, Donna, are daughters: Jodi (Eric) Sauber and Jen (Troy) Banister both of Wauseon; grandchildren: Grant, Camden and Trenton Sauber and Oliviah and Jaden Banister. He is also survived by a brother, George (Arlene) Windisch; mother-in-law, Lodema Maust; sister-in-law, Sandy Sauder; and a special niece and nephew: Mike (Pam) Sauder and Michelle (Dallas) Rupp. Preceding him in death besides his parents were his twin sister: Joan Borton; father-in-law: Walt Maust and brother-in-law: Chuck Sauder. Jerry also leaves behind his faithful companion, Reagan.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in the chapel at the Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon with Pastor Matt Boyers officiating.


Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday in the church chapel from 2:00-8:00pm. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Sara’s Garden,T he Seeing Eye Dogs of America, or The Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Online condolences may be made to the family atwww.GrisierFh.com. The Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
