Jerry W. Burt, age 71, died at 6:45 P.M. on Friday, August 26, 2016, at Genesis HealthCare, Bryan Center, where he was a patient after an extended illness. Mr. Burt was employed by AT & T in West Unity for thirty-five years, retiring twenty years ago. He enjoyed GeoCaching which paired his love of puzzles, computers and the outdoors. Jerry’s wisdom and sense of humor will live on in everyone he touched.
Jerry W. Burt was born on May 29, 1945, in Akron, Ohio, the son of Walker and Matilda (Olheft) Burt. He married Rosslynn A. Russell on January 17, 1967, in Angola, Indiana, and she survives.
Survivors also include two sons Christopher A. Burt, of Bryan and Andrew J. Burt, of Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by Dr. Bob and Bill W.
In keeping with Jerry’s wishes, there will be no visitation or ceremonies.
