Jodi Lynn Balser, age 51, of Napoleon, passed away comfortably in her home on Saturday, October 26, 2013. She had worked for Sauder Woodworking in Archbold for the past 15 years.

Jodi was born in Wauseon on May 12, 1962, the daughter of Harold and Agnes (Abbott) Balser. She was a graduate of Wauseon High School, Class of 1980.

Surviving is her life partner, Tom Kruse of Napoleon; sons, Brannon (Shannon) Wurster of Toledo, Jason (Elizabeth) Kruse and Jeremy Kruse; grandchildren, Kayla and Parker Kruse; sister, Sandy Rutter of Deshler; brothers, Tom (Dee) Balser of Paulding, Bob Balser of Wauseon, Ron Balser of Archbold, Rick Balser of Wauseon, other brothers and sisters include; Karen (Leroy) Keith, Nancy (Jack) Lawrence, Kenny Kruse, Kathy (Stephen) Strange, Steven (Darla) Kruse, Julie Schriner, Eldon (Sherrie) Kruse; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, and one brother, Larry Balser.


Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Archbold Evangelcial Church, where a Celebration of Jodi’s Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Interment will be private in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Hospice of Henry County. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
