John A. Cooper WEBJohn A. Cooper, age 74, of Swanton, was welcomed into Heaven as a good and faithful servant on Sunday November 1, 2015 with his family by his side at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.  He was born in Perrysburg on October 30, 1941; one of four children to the late Thixton Cooper and Mildred (Kosch) Cooper.

John was united in marriage to Linda Armbruster on June 8, 1963.  He graduated from Anthony Wayne High School and later attended the University of Toledo, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Technology and Business Management.  Before retiring, John worked for Johns Manville for 42 years.

A man of God; he was a former member of Monclova United Methodist Church, Zion United Methodist Church in Whitehouse, and most recently an active member of Shiloh Christian Union Church in Delta.  John was a proud volunteer at C.C.N.O in Stryker where he helped with the prison ministry team and Bible study group.  Several of his hobbies included gardening, fishing, Bible research and teaching, mission ministry, and publishing a biblical teaching guide.

Left to cherish John’s memory are his wife, Linda; children, Allen Cooper of Whitehouse, Becky (Tracy) Stutz of Swanton and Sarah (James) Worley of Toledo; sisters, Brenda (Mark) Anders of Lancaster, OH and Delaine (John) Heyman of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Samantha (Paul) Stuber, Katlyn Cooper, Jacob and Jordan Stutz, and Aiden and Claire Worley; and uncle, Charles Cooper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Reach Up Ministries at CCNO for prison Bibles at Reach Up Inc, P.O Box 422 Archbold, Ohio 43502 in John’s memory.

Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
