June E. Schultz, age 75, of Evansport, passed away Friday evening, May 3, 2013 at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice. Prior to her retirement she had worked at the former Paul’s Harness Shop, the former Red Rooster Restaurant, and the former Hub Market, all in Stryker.

June was born in Tiffin Twp., Ohio on June 4, 1937, the daughter of Clifton and Gladys (Cox) Brown. On April 13, 1956 she married Charles L. Schultz, and he preceded her in death in 2004. She was a lifelong member of the Evansport United Methodist Church. June also volunteered for the former CHWC Hospice, was a Friend of the Library in Defiance and a member of the Stryker Historical Society.

Surviving is one son, Eugene (Wanda Joy) Schultz of Sharpsburg, GA; mother, Gladys Brown of Defiance; grandchildren, Jenny (Robert) Billings, Joe Schultz, Regina Cowthan, Stephanie Schultz and David Schultz; great-granddaughter, Zoe Billings; brother, Ray (Rita) Brown of Defiance; and sister, Betty (Jim) Breier of Elmore, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and her father, Clifton Brown.
