Kathleen Manley (1941 – 2018)

Kathleen M. “Tiny” Manley, 76, of Montpelier, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance. She was born on December 22, 1941 in Montpelier to LeRoy O. and Frances M. (Selander) Startzman. Tiny attended Montpelier High School. On July 29, 1960 she married Dallas M. Manley and he preceded her in death on March 6, 2017.

Tiny worked for several years at Beam Stream and Robinair both in Montpelier. She was an avid collector and loved archery, bowling and shopping.

Tiny is survived by two sons, Dennis (Sue) Manley of Montpelier, and Christopher (Allison) Manley of Tecumseh, Michigan; three daughters Debby (John) Whitman of Montpelier, Sheila McFarland of Bryan, and Shera (Jason) Norrick of Montpelier; eleven grandchildren, Ethan Manley, Derek (Deidre) Whitman, Jontae (Patrick) Huffman, Brea Vore, Kegan, Kierra, and Tessa Manley, Jaden Coss, Britlee McFarland, Ashtin and Jace Norrick; three great grandchildren, Kalvin and Kimber Whitman and Kyah Plummer; one brother, Dwain (Frances Yuvon) Startzman of Montpelier; one sister, Donna Stork of Toledo; one sister-in-law, Joan (Bill) Good of Alvordton; and her beloved cat, Little Butt. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dallas M. Manley, two sisters, Edna I Burwell and Margarite and one brother, Louis “Louie” Startzman.

Visitation for Tiny will be on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 3-7 p.m. at the Thompson-Geesey Funeral Home on Empire Street in Montpelier. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with close family friend, John Drinnon. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier. Memorial contributions may be made to the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center or to the Williams County Humane Society. Online condolences may be left at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
