Kathy M. McBride, 70, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2020, at Mulberry Gardens Memory Care in Munroe Falls, Ohio. Kathy was born on May 16, 1949, in Bryan to the late Allen and Helen (Brown) Whitman.
She was a 1967 graduate of Bryan High School. She married Don McBride on Feb. 6, 1971, in Bryan. She was a licensed cosmetologist and worked at Capelli’s Salon in Bryan for 35 years where she became the salon owner from 1996 until 2005. She also worked as a teacher aide for the Bryan Pre-school at the Presbyterian Church.
Kathy enjoyed decorating, shopping and working in her flower garden. She treasured the time she could spend with her friends and family, especially her two grandsons.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Mindi (Mike) Papania of Stow, Ohio; two grandsons, Mason and Madox Papania; sister, Karen (Marv) Miller of Fremont, Indiana; one brother-in law, Dave (Cindy) McBride of Bryan; three nephews, Tate (Melissa) Miller of Perrysburg, Ohio, Cory (Marla) Miller of Powell, Ohio, Kip (Christy) McBride of Georgia; and one niece, Kylee (Matt) Uran of Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
There will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Bryan.
