Kelsy Wyse (1983 – 2024)

January 28, 2024No Comments3 Mins Read

 (Formerly Of Archbold)

Kelsy Marie Wyse, age 40, formerly of Archbold, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2024, at Hospice of NW Ohio Perrysburg, from appendiceal cancer.

Kelsy was born on November 12, 1983 in Columbus, Ohio, to Paul and Renee (O’Brien) Wyse. They later moved to Archbold where she attended school and graduated in 2002. She was a confirmed member of St. Martins Lutheran Church.

After high school, Kelsy continued her education at The Ohio State University and graduated in 2006 with a BA in Science. In 2007, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and started her career at Science Care.

She then moved on to Costa Mesa, California to open and manage their new lab.

In 2017, she was transferred to their Chicago lab and was thrilled to be closer to home. She was an excellent boss and was loved by all her employees. She was always a “hands on” boss that worked right beside them whenever needed.

Kelsy was a diehard Buckeye fan and watched several games last season from her hospital bed. We, as her family, hope that St. Peter allowed the angels to play the Ohio State fight song as she ran through the pearly gates, completely healthy again.

Kelsy loved everything about the Christmas season. Anywhere she lived was always decorated by her birthday in November and stayed lit until January. There was always Christmas music and movies playing on her TV.

Kelsy is survived by her parents, Renee (O’Brien) Wyse of Wauseon, Ohio, and Paul (Judy) Wyse of The Villages, Florida; her brother, Kenneth (Whitney), and niece, Willow, of Ridgeville Corners, Ohio; her step siblings, Libby Beck (Jonathan Bohner) Stryker, Ohio, Tucker Beck; and nephews, Ezekiel and Gabriel of Archbold; her maternal grandmother, Geri O’Brien Napoleon, Ohio, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by her very best friend forever, Brittany Dominique.

Kelsy collected so many friends through the years and they were all so loyal and caring, helping her through her treatments for the last 20 months.

Visitation with her family will be held at North Clinton Church, 831 Linfoot Street, Wauseon, Ohio, on Friday February 9, 2024, from 4-8 pm. Kelsy’s Celebration of Life will be held at North Clinton on Saturday February 10, 2024 at 11:00 with a luncheon to follow.

If you wish to donate a memorial in her name, we suggest, Appendix Cancer Research, Hospice Care of NW Ohio, North Clinton Church, or to the charity of your choosing.

The family wishes to thank Pastor Neil Wyse of North Clinton for his guidance and care throughout her cancer journey, plus all of her doctors and nurses, especially those at Hospice Care in Perrysburg.

Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. The Grisier Funeral Home of Archbold is honored to serve the Wyse family.

The obituary for Kelsy was lovingly prepared by her family.
