Kenneth “Ken” Steffes (1963-2018)

Kenneth “Ken” J. Steffes, 55, of Bryan passed away Sunday morning at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan. He was born on December 14, 1963 in Montpelier to Carl B. and Carolyn E. (Zieter) Steffes.

Ken graduated from Montpelier High School in 1983. Ken was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montpelier and the Knights of Columbus. He was currently employed at Rassini Chassis in Montpelier. Ken was an avid Notre Dame fan, he was an usher at the home football games for nearly 15 years. He also enjoyed being a referee for basketball and football games and coaching baseball and being an umpire in Williams County. 

He is survived by his children Jacob E. Steffes and Kaylyn E. Steffes of Edgerton; former wife JoAnn K. Ordway of Edgerton; brother Terry (Lesley) Steffes of Montpelier; and several nieces, nephews and a great niece. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Visitation for Ken will be on Friday, December 21st from 3-7pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Services will follow at 7pm with Father Todd Dominique to officiate.

Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the Donor’s Choice. Condolences can be left atwww.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
