Kids’ Outdoor Science Camp (formerly known as Conservation Camp) will be held June 9 thru June 12. This camp is “Ohio’s largest and oldest residential camp for youth focusing on our outdoor environment”.

This popular camp, held at 4-H Camp Palmer near Fayette, is open to any youth having completed grades 3 thru 8 throughout Ohio. The deadline to register is May 24th.

Exciting programs this year will revolve around the theme “Weather or Not.” Campers will explore a Weather Scavenger Hunt, Clouds in a Bottle, Wacky Science, and can take part in swimming, shooting sports, wildlife and campfire programs and an evening dance. Campers will come away with an increased knowledge and awareness of our natural world, enjoy outdoor adventures with a scientific focus, and increase self-confidence and independence.

Campers are supervised by a team of trained counselors and adult staff. A full-time nurse is also on duty. Delicious home-style meals are served family-style along with an evening snack. Cabins, which are furnished with bunk beds, help to develop friendships and social skills.

Don’t wait, send in your registration by May 24th and pay only $132.00 which includes a camp T-shirt if registered by May 24th.

Kids’ Outdoor Science Camp is sponsored in cooperation with the Soil and Water Conservation Districts and Ohio State University Extension Offices of Ohio.

To obtain a registration form or for more information, call the Williams SWCD office at 419-636-9395 or 419-636-2349 Ext 3.
