MONTPELIER – The Montpelier Lady Locos thundered over the Fayette Lady Eagles, beating them in straight sets on September 10, 25-22, 25-18, and 25-16.
Sydney Houk led the Loco’s service assault with 6 aces, also adding 6 digs and 2 kills. Hannah Blake also peppered the Eagles, hammering 5 aces while racking up 10 assists, 10 digs, and 8 kills. Marinna Mercer hammered home 3 aces on the day with 2 kills, and Wendy Duchene added 2 more aces to the count as well as 9 more kills. Morgan Roth led the team with 11 assists and 19 digs while also contributing 2 kills. Christy Duchene and Taylor Wells added 3 and 9 digs respectively with Baylee Hageman rounding out the day with 1 ace, 5 digs, and 2 kills.
