Laresa Yvonne Forbes, age 65, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at her son’s residence in Delaware, Ohio, following an extended illness.
Laresa was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bryan and a former member of the Pulaski Garden Club. She enjoyed volunteering with the Bryan Chamber of Commerce Christmas display on the square for several years before her illness.
She was a talented songwriter. She studied with Sheila Davis from New York City and was able to share her work with several musicians over the years.
Laresa enjoyed gardening, oil painting, and genealogy. Above all, family was her life. She loved spending time with her granddaughters.
Laresa was born Dec. 14, 1960, in Defiance, Ohio, the daughter of Jerry L. and Mary R. (Reineck) Stoller. She graduated from Bryan High School in 1979 and attended Brigham Young University. She married Todd Forbes on Oct. 20, 1980, in Bryan, and he survives.
In addition to her husband, Laresa is survived by her son, Dr. Brandon (Lindsey) Forbes, of Delaware, Ohio; granddaughters, Clara, Amber, Madelyn and Emory; her mother, Mary R. Stoller, of Bryan; sister, Suzanne (Matt) Houseman, of Willow, AK; brother, Brad (Amy) Stoller, of Knightdale, N.C.; sister-in-law, Candice Harrington, of Bryan; and nephews, Trenton Houseman and Shi Harrington, both of Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Stoller; paternal grandparents, Roy & Beulah Stoller; and maternal grandparents, Roy & Ruth Reineck.
Visitation for Laresa will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 515 Townline Road, Bryan. Funeral services will be held at the church beginning at 2 p.m. with President Dave Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery, Bryan.
Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, has been entrusted with Laresa’s services. In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Laresa may be given to the Williams County Humane Society, 9464 County Road 13, Bryan, OH 43506.
