Larry Douglas “Doug” Maier, age 49, of Edon, Ohio, died at 6:40 P.M., shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Montpelier, Ohio. Mr. Maier was a 1986 graduate of Edon High School and had worked in sales for Heartland Grain Systems in Nebraska, selling grain bins and bin distribution centers. Most recently he was employed by Air Way Manufacturing in Hamilton, Indiana. He was a former member of the Florence Township and Brady Township Fire Departments and the Montpelier Moose Lodge. He also enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and college football.
Larry Douglas “Doug”Maier was born on September 12, 1968, in Angola, Indiana, the son of Larry H. and Shirley L. (Wappes) Maier. Survivors include his parents, Larry and Shirley Maier; a brother, Wesley (Jennifer) Maier; and two nieces, Alyssa and Zoe Maier, all of Edon.
