Lawrence Brenner (1925 – 2017)

Lawrence “Larry” Brenner, age 91, of Stryker passed away Sunday April 30, 2017 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Care Center.

Prior to his retirement he had work for the former Aro Corporation in Bryan for 30 years as a Journeyman Electrician, and in retirement had worked as a driver for Bryan Ford and owned and operated Larry’s TV Service.

Mr. Brenner was born in Defiance County, Ohio on October 12, 1925 the son of the late Albert and the late Olive Catherine (Shinner) Brenner. On June 5, 1946 he married the former Madonna Schindler and she survives. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Bryan. He was also active with the Knights of Columbus. He was a US Navy veteran having served from 1944-1946.

Surviving besides his wife are two daughters; Linda (Raymond) Hertel of Antwerp, Mary (James) Burns of Maumee and grandchildren; Troy Everhart, Chad Everhart, Catherine Burns, Sean Burns, Marybeth Burns and great-grandchildren; Jaden Everhart, Gavin Everhart and Carson Everhart. Preceding him in death was son William “Bill” Brenner last summer.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Care Center or the Knights of Columbus. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.GrisierFH.com. The Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker has been entrusted with arrangements.
