Leroy BerrymanLeroy F. Berryman, 94 years, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan. Leroy was born December 11, 1921 in Bryan, the son of the late Joseph L. and Lucinda (Friedel) Berryman. Leroy served in the United States Army in the 11th Armored Division during WWII. He married Rosemary Dewire on March 18, 1948 in Bryan, and she preceded him in death on October 16, 2006.

Leroy then married Carol (Edwards) Baker on June 6, 2008 in Bryan, and she survives. Leroy was a maintenance worker for the ARO Corp. and Challenge Cook, retiring in 1986 after 25 years of employment. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Leroy was a gifted woodworker, able to do anything from rough carpentry to finish work. He built his own home and much of the furniture in it. He also loved to refurbish and restore antiques to their pristine condition.

Surviving is his wife, Carol of Bryan; two children, Lonny (Debra) Berryman of Bryan and Sharon Berryman also of Bryan; three grandchildren, Travis (Tiffany) Berryman of Montpelier, Wayne Johnson of Bryan and Gerrie (Frank) Mavis of Alvordton; 13 great-grandchildren; five children he inherited when he married Carol, Vanessa Olsen of Bryan, Kevin Baker of Blakeslee, Elmer Baker of Bryan, Chris Baker of Bryan and Beth Baker also of Bryan; six step-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Berryman and four sisters, Agnes Froelich, Celestine Ross, Jeannie Sines and Bernadine Berryman.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to the Williams County Humane Society.
