Levi Tyler Hess (2007 – 2024)

Levi Tyler Hess, age 17, of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Levi was a Junior at Edgerton High School where he was on the football, wrestling and baseball teams.

He also volunteered at the school clearing tables at lunch and being a mentor to 4th grade students.

Levi was a junior firefighter with the Edgerton Volunteer Fire Department. He worked in concessions at Fleo’s Flicks and Studor & Sons Custom Machining.

He was an outdoorsman and country boy at heart. He loved hunting, fishing, kayaking and just being outdoors and active.

Levi Tyler Hess was born on August 3, 2007 in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Steven L. and Lisa L. (Carpenter) Hess.

He is survived by his parents; sister, Kershana Grapengeter and brother, Colton Hess, all of Edgerton; maternal grandmother, Sharon Carpenter, of Roseville, Michigan and paternal grandfather, David Newbrough, of Moundsville, West Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Carpenter, Sr; maternal grandmother, Cheryl Newbrough; aunt, Velma Thomas and cousin, Phoenix Carpenter.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. with his uncle, Pastor Matthew Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are requested to the Edgerton Volunteer Fire Department.
