A knitting class and a book club were among the highlights during Montpelier Librarian Gloria Osburn’s talk to the Chamber of Commerce.
The knitting class has been meeting for four years and are inviting people ages 8 and up for a class that meets from 9-11 a.m. Thursdays through Aug. 11. There is also a woodworking class meeting 1-2 p.m. Thursdays through Aug. 11. The class will construct a toolbox.
The book club meets at 10 a.m. Tuesdays. The next book will be Sandra Dallas’ “True Sisters,” about four women who travel from Iowa to Utah in 1856.
The library will have a painting class July 14.
The chamber received a $200 donation toward a new roof for its building from the Trackside Modelers Association. The total project will cost around $200. A group will meet June 23 to organize more fundraisers.
