Linda Tumilty (1944 – 2023)

Linda J. Tumilty, 79, of Lincoln, Illinois, formally of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Monday, Nov. 20, 2023.

Linda was born in Peoria, Illinois, on Aug. 10, 1944, the daughter of Clifford F. Sullivan and Hilma L. (Gibson) Sullivan.

She married Donald J. Tumilty on Dec. 26, 1977. He preceded her in death in 2004. Linda was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bryan, Ohio.

She was the past president of Women’s Welcome Club, she was a member of the LesBasBleus Book Club, Literary Forum Book Club, Orchard Hills Country Club and Phi Beta Psi Sorority.

She was a life member of CHWC- Bryan Auxiliary and the co-manager of the CHWC Gift shop in Bryan, Ohio.

Linda enjoyed cross-stitching, biking, golfing, reading and ceramics. Many family members and friends received cross-stitch and ceramic pieces as remembrances.

She is survived by: Step-daughter, Carole (Tony) Whitaker and was the beloved grandmother of seven: Amy (Michael) Addante-Lagioia, Nicholas (Maddie) Addante, Michael Addante, Cade, Braden, Teagan and Cami Whitaker.; Cherished great-grandmother (G Gram) of Gianna, Enzo and Colton. She is also survived by: Sisters-in-law: Marsha Logan and Linda Sullivan, nine nieces and nephews along with many great-, great-great-nieces and -nephews.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Don J. Tumilty; parents, Clifford and Hilma Sullivan; sisters, Catherine L Hall, Marna J. Michael; brother, Clifford C. “Sonny” Sullivan; three nephews; and one niece.

A memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to First Presbyterian Church, Bryan, Ohio, or Lightways Hospice Care, Joliet, Illinios.
