Local Obituary: Connie Hartman (1947 – 2025)

(Retired From Sauder Woodworking)

Connie L. Hartman, age 77 years, of Archbold, passed away on Sunday Evening, January 12, 2025, surrounded by family at the Bay Park Hospital in Oregon Ohio.

She was born on September 5, 1947, at Heller Memorial in Napoleon, OH, the eldest daughter of Wayne and Alice (Merrill) Sharp. Connie was a 1965 graduate of Liberty Center High School, and married Larry Hartman on November 12 1965.

Connie was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed baking, decorating cakes, and making cards and crafts for her family and fellow churchgoers.

Connie was a committed member of Central Mennonite Church in Archbold and was enjoying retirement after being employed for Sauder Woodworking for 35 years.


She is survived by Larry, her loving husband of 59 years, and her 3 children Lisa (Charles) Feeney of Archbold, Dawn Adams of Lima, and Michael (Cassandra) Hartman of Archbold, her 7 grandchildren Amanda (Greg) Decair, Miranda Hardy, Nicole Hardy of Findlay, Angel Adams of Lima, Donny Adams, Samuel Hartman and Josephina Hartman of Archbold. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Savannah, Jase, Georgia Decair and Jaxon Adkins all of Findlay. She is also survived by sisters Sharon Conrad and Tanya Sharp both of Liberty Center.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Alice Sharp, and her brother Don Sharp.

Services will be held at a later date. Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements.
