Lori Jean Sallows, age 56, Brooklyn, Michigan, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, surrounded by her treasured family.

She was born April 16, 1964, in Montpelier, Ohio, the youngest child of Maurice and Wilma (Curry) Perry, and graduated from Hilltop High School in West Unity, Ohio.

On Aug. 21, 1994, she married Samuel G. Sallows, and he survives.

Lori’s vibrant personality led her to many different positions including working at WLEN Radio, Bob Evans and Yoder’s Convenience Store in Brooklyn. Recently she opened her own dog training business, Best Friends Furever.

Throughout the years Lori was active in many service organizations including Rotary, BNI, Civitan and Toastmasters, to name a few. She shared her love of The Lord with everyone she encountered and also through serving with The Daily Bread Ministries, Armor Bearers for Christ and a ministry trip to Wales with her husband.

In addition to Sam, her husband of over 26 years, she is survived by their children: Cynthia Sharp of Adrian, Michigan, Samuel Paul (Ashley) Sallows of Hillsdale, Michigan, Jessica (Pawel) Krawiec of Jackson, Michigan, and Megan (Shannon) Troyer of Adrian; grandchildren, Lukus, Mattie, Xander, Madison and McKenna, as well as Olivia Jean and Jaxson who will be arriving next month; and her siblings, Sue (Don) Tokarz of Pioneer, Ohio, Kay (Paul) Chester of Findlay, Ohio, Bonnie (Bob) Hostetler of Akron, Ohio, and Dennis (Diane) Perry of Phoenix, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life took place on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, at Wagley Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Palmer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Lori may be made to Neighbors of Hope for the benefit of the women’s and children’s ministry center.

For those unable to be present, a livestreaming of the service is accessible from Lori’s tribute wall on www.WagleyFuneralHomes.com, where a link to view the recording is available for 90 days.

Online memories and condolences may be shared at www.WagleyFuneralHomes.com.
