Luella M. Balser, 89, of Bryan and formerly of West Unity, passed away Monday morning at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan. She was born on August 14, 1926 in Jackson, Michigan to Harold C. and Bessie (Dunlap) Moses. After graduating from Jackson High School she married John S. Balser and he preceded her in death on April 27, 1990.

Luella is survived by four sons, Dennis (Brenda) Balser of Pioneer, Brad (Dawn Klender) Balser of West Unity, John (Deb) Balser of Toledo, and Randy Balser of Albion, Indiana; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one brother, Gaylord (Sandy) Moses of Hudson, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, three sisters, Phyllis Warthman, Doris Greenfield, Shirley O’Connor, and one brother Arnold Moses.

A Private graveside service will be held at Shiffler Cemetery in rural Bryan. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be left for the family atwww.thethompsonfuneralhome.com
