Margaret Ann Gerken, age 80, of Archbold, passed away Wednesday morning, July 15, 2015 at Evergreen Manor in Montpelier. She had worked at Strydel in Stryker, and then for Sauder Woodworking in Archbold, where she retired after 20 years.
Margaret was born in Napoleon on May 12, 1935, the daughter of Frederick and Dorothy (Saneholtz) Walters. In 1953 she married Lawrence Gerken, and he preceded her in death in 1979. She was a former member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners.
Surviving are two sons, Roger Gerken of Archbold and Gary (Marie) Gerken of Archbold; and daughter, Darlene Taylor of Lyndhurst, OH. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Robert Walters; half-brother, Art Walters; and daughter-in-law, Lucy Gerken.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold, with Pastor Alva Martis, officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Zion Cemetery in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio.
