Margaret Ann Rice, age 88, of Wauseon, Ohio entered life on January 22, 1929 and life everlasting on February 14, 2017. She was the youngest of three children of Lester and Emma (Dickman) Roddy, of Wauseon. She married Robert Rice on June 01, 1947 and he preceded her in death on October 25, 1998.
Margaret graduated from Wauseon High School in 1947. She worked at different jobs in Wauseon including, Detwiler Hospital, home health care, retail and retired as a greeter at Wal-mart. She was a member of the Church of the Master United Methodist Church, Wauseon, Ohio. She loved to travel with her family. Her trips took her to the New England states and west to California. She spent many good times with her husband and their close friends in Canada. Her life was dedicated in taking care of and helping others. She enjoyed being outside, tending her flowers and gardening. She also loved polka dancing with her friends.
She is survived by her three children, Patricia (Victor) Riegsecker, Larry (Lori) Rice and Barbara (William) Moody all of Wauseon. Five grandchildren, Christina Barrick, of Wauseon, Brian Cole of Delta, Timothy Moody, Chad Moody, and Bradley Rice of Wauseon. Step-grandson, Todd Moody. Four great-grandchildren. Keith Cole, Kyle Cole, Josh Cole, and Regan Cole, of Delta. Three great-great grandcildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two siblings and one great grandson, Dustin Cole.
Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 in Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon, Ohio. Pastor Ben Sheaffer officiating. Interment will follow in Wauseon Union Cemetery. Funeral luncheon will follow interment service in Church of the Master United Methodist Church, Wauseon, Ohio. Friends may call for visitation with family, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
