Marjorie E. Kuckuck (1926 – 2017)

Marjorie E. Kuckuck, 90 years, of West Unity, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center. Marjorie was born April 26, 1926 in Steuben County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Grover Carl and Blanche Zema (Wood) Tritch. She was a 1944 graduate of Pleasant Lake, High School. She married Orvil August Kuckuck on April 23, 1944 in Edon, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1986.

A devoted homemaker, Marjorie had also worked as a sales clerk in Colorado, Toledo Canning Factory in Edon and cleaning homes and babysitting for families. She enjoyed reading a good book, watching Dr. Oz on television, going for walks, cooking and writing poetry. She was honored to have many of her writings published.

Surviving is her daughter, Connie Jean Stolz of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Audrey (Neil) Doster of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four siblings, Orlo Tritch, William Tritch, Keith Tritch and Birdenia Williams.


There will be no visitation. A celebration of Margie’s life will take place on Sunday, April 9 at 3:00p.m. at the Kissell Building in West Unity. Everyone is welcome to come and bring a memory or your pictures to share. Marjorie graciously donated her body to the University of Toledo Medical Center. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, West Unity, Ohio.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center Patient Activity Fund, 1104 Wesley Avenue, Bryan, Ohio 43506.
