Mark W. Snyder, age 76, of Montpelier, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Dec. 4, 1944, to Edmund and June (Dorcas) Snyder in Toledo.
Mark was employed with the USPS for 36 years before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, boating, skiing and being on the water. Mark loved animals, especially dogs. In his later years, he began rescuing and donating to the local animal shelter in Williams County.
Mark was a die-hard fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, never missing a game. He liked spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Mark’s smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Rachel Martin.
Left to cherish Mark’s memory are his loving wife of 31 years, Verniece Snyder; daughters, Monica (John) Vollmar and Michelle Snyder; stepson, Andre Skiles; grandchildren, Jessica (Tommy), Kayla (Evan) and Johnny; great-grandchildren, Jon, Jack, Jeffrey, Josie, Evie, Daulton, Oliver and Baby Johnny; brothers, Kent (Kathy) and Phillip (Linda) Snyder; fur babies, Murphy and Felix; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Road, Toledo (419-473-0300) with memorial services beginning at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
