The Metamora Village Council held a special meeting on Monday, April 11th at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The special meeting was called for to discuss hiring help for the application of the NatureWorks grant.

Cathy Mossing and Heather Lumbrezer have been working on the grant and feel as though it would be beneficial to get guidance for it.

A discussion took place regarding a representative from CT Consultants coming once a week for three weeks. The sessions would last for two to three hours each with a cost not exceeding a total of $1,000 for their service.

A motion was made and approved to open a purchase order for $1,000 to hire CT consultants to help Cathy Mossing and Heather Lumbrezer work on the NatureWorks grant.

The motion also allows Heather to work over her 32 hours a week, but up to no more than 40 hours, for four weeks if needed to work on the grant.

A discussion then took place regarding the purchase of a new work truck.

A quote was received from Dave White Chevrolet for a 2022 Silverado 3500 HD 4WD regular cab with a cost of $55,715.00.

The truck includes all options wanted including a dump bed, tool boxes, work lights and a hitch.

Another quote was also received from Baumann Ford for a 2022 F-450 Chassis 4WD regular cab for $49,907.00. The Ford truck does not have all the options wanted which will require an additional $16,000.00.

Due to the truck needing to be ordered by April 17th to beat incoming 2023 price increases, a motion was made and approved to order the Chevrolet truck.

The meeting was then adjourned at 7:29 p.m.
