Michael David Heffelfinger, age 79, of Edon, Ohio, passed away at 2:35 A.M. on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, in his home after a brief illness.
Mr. Heffelfinger was a 1961 graduate of Edgerton High School and was a farmer and a longtime employee of W.C. Heller & Company in Montpelier, Ohio, where he was a cabinet maker. Mike was an avid outdoorsman and a master woodworker.
Michael David Heffelfinger was born on December 8, 1943, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of Kenneth L. and Mary P. (Chaney) Heffelfinger.
He married Marilyn H. Davis on October 2, 1994, at Mount Union Christian Union Church and she survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Scott Heffelfinger and Darren Johnson; two stepsons, James Weber and Robert (Kris)Weber; seven granddaughters; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; his siblings, Richard (Karen) Heffelfinger, Sue (Mike) Bowman, and John (Rebecca) Heffelfinger; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In keeping with Michael’s wishes, there will be no services. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
